VISUAL IDENTITY

Studio XX invited Mallory Knodel to participate in creating the visual identity for the 12th edition of The HTMlles festival. An activist specializing in cybersecurity technologies and the communications coordinator for the Association for Progressive Communications, Mallory Knodel is a relevant collaborator for the 2016 theme: Terms of Privacy.

Mallory is hidden behind a ridiculously long document which contains all the confidentiality policies of GAFA – an acronym representing the Web giants Google, Apple, Facebook and Amazon.

Mallory Knodel takes a human rights, people-centred approach to communications and technology work for social movements around the world. She is the communications and technology manager for the Association for Progressive Communications, a consultant and advisor for May First/People Link, eQualitie and LevelUp (Internews), and a working group member of the Freedom Online Coalition. She is a community organizer who has worked with social justice groups around the world in Bolivia, Canada, France, Palestine, UK and US. She is a free software advocate and trained web developer and systems administrator, specializing in cybersecurity.
