The performances and walks that I am conducting using wireless cameras reveal a state of situatedness, that one experiences when encountering a junction where physical and media space(s) converge. The slippery junctions where these spaces merge are physical/virtual or 'middle' spaces. The story told from hidden private spaces that I see on my screen, is combined with the narrative that takes place around me on the street.

A stream of a live, surveilled space within Amsterdam will be broadcasted to the Maid in Cyberspace Festival venue in Montreal. Another 'middle space' is created. The streamed information, with a basic text, instructs the viewer to create a narrative of what in on the screen and what occurs around her.

Anatomic is an open space focused on initiating and involving artists in online, collaborative media interaction. During Anatomic's weekly sessions, artists can work together, develop skills for networked pieces, improvise, hang out and meet, and realize expressive and creative works. The evolution of activities is peer-to-peer, unsupervised but guided.

The Waag Society For Old and New Media is a cultural research and development centre for communications technology. Central to its aims is the development of technological applications for the cultural and social expression of groups and individuals. Designers, software engineers, artists and scientists work together closely within the Waag Society. Collaboration is sought with partners in the social sector, the educational field, science and industry.
