This collective project is the first of its kind made for the Web in Albania. A difficult and obscure context, a society dominated by men. Eight women who have never been involved in collaborative practice, who are not writers, who possess limited knowledge of computers, who are not familiar with the Web, who do not speak English. They created the site with the contribution of their personal histories and images (photographs, paintings, drawings).


Eleni Laperi

Born in Tirana, Albania, Eleni Laperi has been a participant in numerous international contexts such as: 1st NGO Forum Beijing, China (1995); the National Museum of Romania, Bucharest (1997); the "Courants" program organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and La Maison des Cultures du Monde, Paris, France (1998); the Museum of Modern Art, New York, USA (2000); the International Forum Of Mediterranean Artist Women for Peace, Rhodes Greece (2000). She has also published numerous texts and studies.

2001: Author of the project “Cultural Center of Artists Women Lindart”, in Tirana, Albania. The main aim of this center is to promote and use the creativity of women artists for a better quality of life and a culture of peace in Albania.


Nina Czegledy

An independent media artist, curator and writer, for over a decade, Nina Czegledy has developed and produced collaborative international projects. Points of Entry, an electronic arts collaboration between Canada, Australia and New Zealand, conceptualized and curated by Czegledy is currently touring. Digitized Bodies, Virtual Spectacles, developed by Czegledy, centered on the changing perceptions of the human body, presenting a series of on-line and on-site events in Canada (2000), Hungary (2001) and Slovenia (2002). Czegledy's art&technology interest is further reflected by long term collaborative projects in progress including Aurora, The Electromagnetism of Bodies and BodySense. In addition. Czegledy has been leading and participating in international workshops, forums and festivals. She has published widely both in Europe and North America. Currently Nina Czegledy is the Chair of the Inter Society for the Electronic Arts(ISEA).
